From the garden you have great vistas over the valley and nearby ridges. The region is perfect for hiking, mountain-biking and gypsum vein excursions. But even a short stroll through the woods or vineyards behind the house is great. There's probably a pheasant, deer or porcupine behind the next corner...

Less than two kilometers from the house lies Casola Valsenio, a small, pretty farmers’ village. Casola doesn’t see many tourists, despite its lively shops and markets, interesting culinary festivals and ancient herb garden. Closeby are Palazzuolo Sul Senio and Brisighella, beautiful old towns with lots of history, culture, natural beauty, and some great food to taste. If that’s not enough culture for you, the powerhouses of Florence, Bologna, Ravenna and Ferrara can all be visited in day trips.
